Coastal Marine Surveyors & Consultans is proud to offer an exciting
addition to our service line. Whether you call it Thermal or Infrared Imaging,
this is one of the most advanced and beneficial technologies available today!
Thermal Imaging has been in use for several years in the medical field and in
materials testing; we have adpoted the devices and procedures for use in the
marine services industry. Thermal Imaging provides an amazing, non-intrusive
"window" into the very heart of a vessel's structures and systems.
We are able to inspect hulls and structural components for voids,
delamination, water intrusion, and integrity like never before. Shorts, faults,
grounds, and wiring integrity in your electrical system can be isolated without
tearing the boat apart. We can see fuel lines, water hoses, and other conduit
systems behind cabin walls and under soles and decking. Thermal imaging allows
us to pinpoint problems quickly and at a significant cost savings. This
technology will permit closer inspection and repairs to be conducted in an
efficient and orderly manner. No longer will you have to stand for major systems
disassembly and damage just to find a problem. Our thermography analyses can be
produced in digital picture, printed, or even videotape formats. We've included
some examples to the right and some informative links below, check these out and
give us a call.
Of course, the benefits of Thermal Imaging aren't limited to the boating
world. While we are, first and foremost, a marine services company, we will
conduct Thermal Imaging analyses in other areas upon request. Some of the areas
we've determined to be of interest are residential and commercial wiring and
HVAC issues, insulation efficiency and thermal leaks of buildings, and general
materials testing. Contact us for an assessment of your needs and a fee
schedule.
